Nushi bosses — the verified kill funnel
The seven Nushi checkpoints below are not copied from a wiki: they come from two independent evidence chains that agree. The Steam achievement api ids name each beast in Japanese (shika = deer, ushi = bull, kuma = bear), and Game8’s launch-day boss table names them in Latin (Rangifer, Taurus, Ursa). Where both point at the same animal, the identification is corroborated. Kill percentages are live Steam data (snapshot 2026-08-04) — a difficulty curve nobody can fake.
Weaknesses and skill rewards are currently single-source (Game8) and labeled community-reported until players confirm them. Confirm or correct one and get credited.
1. Rangifer's End ✓ corroborated
Rangifer — the great deer (api id: shika, 鹿)
| Beaten by | 12.1% of launch-day players |
The first Nushi and the first real wall: on launch day only about one in eight players had beaten it. Fought more than once across the story (chapter 1 encounters at level 9 and 12, and again at level 32 later).
- Weak to fire. Rewards the Nushi Skill "Sakura Storm" and unlocks the Sakura skill line. community-reportedGame8 boss table; GamesRadar's Rangifer guide agrees on the fight, weakness pending wider confirmation
- Parry economy wins this fight: successful parries refill Koo's FP, build the Down Gauge, and charge Emma's Blade Arts — three currencies from one input. Learn it here. ✓ corroboratedGame8 beginner guide, GamerFuzion and PixelNitro all describe the same parry economy
2. Lacerta's End ✓ corroborated
Lacerta — the salamander (api id: salamander)
| Beaten by | 3.1% of launch-day players |
Chapter 2's closing Nushi (encounters reported at levels 13 and 16). The funnel drops hard here: only a quarter of the players who beat Rangifer have beaten Lacerta.
- Weak to lightning. Rewards the Nushi Skill "Dokuzeri Shower" and the Dokuzeri skill line. community-reportedGame8 boss table (launch day); not yet independently confirmed
3. Taurus's End ✓ corroborated
Taurus — the bull (api id: ushi, 牛)
| Beaten by | 1.2% of launch-day players |
Chapter 4 Nushi, met again around chapter 8 (reported levels 26/29/44).
- Weak to acid. Rewards the Nushi Skill "Charging Botan" and the Botan skill line. community-reportedGame8 boss table (launch day); not yet independently confirmed
4. Corvus's End ✓ corroborated
Corvus — the crow (api id: crow)
| Beaten by | 1.1% of launch-day players |
Chapter 7 Nushi (reported level 38).
- Weak to lightning. Rewards Acid Burst Nobudou, Nobudou: Burst and Blade Art: Nobudou. community-reportedGame8 boss table (launch day); not yet independently confirmed
5. Ursa's End ✓ corroborated
Ursa — the bear (api id: kuma, 熊)
| Beaten by | 1% of launch-day players |
Chapter 10 Nushi (reported level 46).
- Weak to acid. Rewards Asagao: Boa II and Finisher: Asagao. A binding + corrosion approach is echoed by a second outlet's guide. community-reportedGame8 boss table; a Sportskeeda strategy is consistent but could not be fully read
6. Erymanth's End ✓ corroborated
Erymanth — the wild boar (api id: wild_boar)
| Beaten by | 1% of launch-day players |
Chapter 12 Nushi (reported level 47), late in the funnel.
- Weak to explosions. Rewards Kiku: Bloom Strike II and Finisher: Kiku. community-reportedGame8 boss table (launch day); not yet independently confirmed
7. Koo de Grâce unconfirmed
Unidentified (api id: ku) — we have not confirmed which beast this is
| Beaten by | 1% of launch-day players |
The seventh Nushi checkpoint in the achievement data. The api id says "ku"; the display name puns on Koo. We have not matched it to a boss in any credible source yet, and we would rather say that than guess.
No credible strategy data yet — we’d rather say that than invent one. Beat it? Tell us how.
Non-Nushi bosses reported by Game8
Game8’s boss table also lists Nue Malefact (ch. 1/3/6, weak to poison), Shidou and Nue (ch. 3/6/11, poison), Kunai and Kirin (ch. 8/12, poison), Crimson Malefact (ch. 9, water), Door Golem (ch. 1 side boss, binding/acid), and the final boss. community-reported These match hidden achievement names we can see in the Steam data (Shidou & Nue, Kunai & Kirin), which is a good sign, but chapter/level details are single-source for now.
